Pasco School District (Washington)

Pasco School District # 1 serves over 17,000 school children from the City of Pasco, Washington and unincorporated Franklin County. It operates eleven elementary schools, five STEM elementary schools, three middle schools, an alternative middle school, two four-year high schools, and an alternative secondary school. There are over 700 teachers and 600 support staff. The annual operations budget for 2005-06 is $91 million.

gollark: Broadly speaking, to the best of my knowledge: TVs accept commands from remotes as modulated infrared somehow. The basic modulation stuff is fairly consistent, but not all TVs support the same set of commands. So universal remote things can work by recording the data another remote sends when you press a particular button, saving it, and replaying it when you press a button on it.
