Pang Wei

Pang Wei (simplified Chinese: 庞伟; traditional Chinese: 龐偉; born 19 July 1986) is a Chinese Olympic sports shooter. In 2008, he became the first Chinese person to win an Olympic gold medal in shooting. He won a gold medal in the 10 metre air pistol at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the same event, at the age of 20.

On 29 November 2009, Pang married two-time Olympic shooting champion Du Li in his hometown of Baoding, Hebei.[1]

2008 Summer Olympics

Pang won the gold medal in the men's 10 metre air pistol at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Having won China's first Olympic gold medal in shooting, he was awarded 2,000,000 renminbi (US$292,600) from Chinese sponsors.[2]
