Oonche Log (1985 film)

Oonche Log (transl.High Society People) is an Indian Hindi-language film directed by Brij. This film is inspired by the novel Wuthering Heights, 1966 movie Dil Diya Dard Liya and the Pakistani film Dehleez (1983), starring Nadeem, Shabnam, Afzal Ahmed and Agha Taalish. The film stars Rajesh Khanna and Salma Agha as the main lead characters. The film's cinematography, costumes, music of R.D.Burman, performance of Rajesh Khanna, Danny Denzongpa and Prem Chopra were critically praised, but Salma Agha's performance was criticised. Brij insisted on using the same tune and lyrics of Aaj Tu Gair Sahi of the Pakistani film Dehleez, sung by Mehndi Hasan, in this film the same song was recorded with Kishore. Kishore Kumar's version with R.D. Burman's orchestration was appreciated. Brij insisted in an interview that he made this film disappointed with failure of Dil Diya Dard Liya on all aspects in 1966. This version is considered much better than the 1966 film by Indian viewers.

gollark: Consider: there are banks and funds and whatnot with large amounts of money, extremely smart people, and computing power.
gollark: Some offense, but I don't really think you can get *that much* money with a "strat".
gollark: The advice I've heard is just to be extremely boring but practical and shove your money into index funds and such. Not that I have much money to use that on.
gollark: Great?
gollark: I'm also interested, although your stated returns seem implausible.
