On 25 October 2017, Sludden was named in the Ireland squad for the 2017 International Rules Series against Australia in November.[1] He was in the All Ireland final side of 2018 where Tyrone faced Dublin at Croke Park. He scored a crucial goal in the semifinals against Monaghan to win the game.
