New Switzerland, Georgia

New Switzerland is an unincorporated community in Habersham County, in the U.S. state of Georgia.[1]

History

A post office called New Switzerland was established in 1882, and remained in operation until 1889.[2] The community was named after Switzerland, the native land of a large share of the first settlers.[3]

gollark: I also use "generate random bytes" oddly often. That may just be me.
gollark: Also map/filter/whatever, though Luadash does that.
gollark: Stuff like `fread` (my terrible name for "read file to string"), `fwrite` (write string to file), `fetch` (send GET request to given HTTP address and return string result), `copy` (deep-copy a table), etc.
