At the ARIA Music Awards of 1994, the song was nominated for 3 awards; ARIA Award for Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Producer of the Year and but lost each time to "The Honeymoon is Over" by The Cruel Sea.[1][2]
At the APRA Awards (Australia) of 1994, the song won the APRA Award for Most Performed Australian Work.[3]
