Never Done Nothing Like That Before

"Never Done Nothing Like That Before" is a song by Britpop band Supergrass. It was released as a single from their fourth album Life on Other Planets in July 2002. As it was a vinyl only release and only 2,500 copies were pressed, the single only reached #75 in the UK Singles Chart.[1] The version on the single is slightly longer than the version on the album, as there is a short introduction where Danny Goffey can be heard setting off fireworks. However, this introduction is heard at the end of "Evening of the Day", the sixth track on Life on Other Planets.

The Children of the Monkey Basket website explains the song in further detail; "First release of the century and what a corker. We had the main riff for this kicking around for about five years and ended up recording it third for the new album [Life On Other Planets]. Nice touches include Dermot playing piano with a screwdriver, the Jackel on milk bottles and Danny setting the studio alight with fireworks as it was recorded on Guy Fawkes Night."[2]
