Gameplay

The goal is to get the ball into the hole with the least strokes possible. After a game has started, the player will be shown the hole from an overhead map view. Here the player can position the cursor to get the best shot and select the best club. The player is then taken to a close-up view of the golfer. Here the player needs to determine how much power to use and try to make an accurate shot. The more the bar is filled, the more power the golfer will use to swing at the ball. Accuracy is determined once the marker has entered the accuracy region. Aiming in the center will make the ball fly straight. Aim early or late and the ball will fly to the left or right. After the ball lands on the green, the game will switch to the putting screen. The yellow lines on the screen show the slope of the green. This allows the user to aim the ball while taking into account the contours of the green.

Marketing

The game was unveiled at the 17th annual American Century Championship Celebrity Golf Event and promoted during NBC's broadcast of the event.

gollark: Worse stack traces and recursion "isn't pythonic", IIRC.
gollark: This is a deliberate choice by Guido.
gollark: Python doesn't. It's very mean.
gollark: Fascinating.
