Music for Children

Music for Children is the first release in John Zorn's Music Romance Series and features three Naked City compositions (written at the time of Torture Garden) performed by Zorn with the band Prelapse; a 20-minute composition for wind machines and controlled feedback systems dedicated to Edgar Varese, and a classical chamber music piece for violin, percussion and piano performed by the Abel-Steinberg-Winant Trio framed by a poly-rhythmic etude for percussion and celeste and a lullaby for music box.[1]

The Allmusic review by Stacia Proefrock awarded the album 4 stars out of 5, stating "The adventurous parents who actually play this music for their child may be horrified to discover how much the little baby genius actually likes it. For those who are childless or simply less brave, this volume provides fascinating candy for adult ears."[2]

Personnel

gollark: Horrible as in inconsistent.
gollark: Not in that file but whatever.
gollark: ```luafunction Element:calcSize(queue, stack) if self.finalizeSize then self.parent.container = self.parent.container + self.container self.finalizeSize = nil return end if self.parent then self.container = new(class.ElementRect)(self.parent.container) self.finalizeSize = true else self.container = new(class.ElementRect)(nil, self.browserObject.request.page.window, nil, 0, 0) end stack:push(self.container) if self.window then stack:push(new(class.ElementRect)(self.container, self.window)) end if self.parent then queue:push(self) end for i=#self.children, 1, -1 do queue:push(self.children[i]) endend```
gollark: Also, this is not "compiling".
gollark: The indentation is *horrible* and so's the lack of comments.
