Mooliabeenee, Western Australia

Mooliabeenee (also found misspelt as Mooliabeenie) is a locality in Western Australia, east of Gingin, within the Shire of Chittering.

The nearby Mooliabeenie[lower-alpha 1] station lies on the Millendon Junction (near Midland) to Dongara section of the railway line now managed by Arc Infrastructure.[2][3] It was originally built in 1894 as part of the Midland Railway.[1]

Also nearby is a disused 1,500 m (4,900 ft) long airstrip which was used by the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and associated with the Caversham Airfield at Middle Swan.[4] Like the Caversham Airfield, the Mooliabeenee Airfield was later used as a motor racing track.[5][6][7] Local car clubs regularly use the site for motorkhana events.

Notes

  1. The station was originally spelt Mooliabeenee but the spelling changed c.1965.[1]

gollark: And since this runs on a Linux server, it would be easier to just have it run commands on itself. It would be very secure.
gollark: You know, arguably the best way to emulate a Linux box would be to actually have it connect to a Linux box.
gollark: `osmarks`
gollark: It's not like IPv6 deployment has been very rapid at all, it's totally safe.
