Miroslavské Knínice
Miroslavské Knínice, formerly Německé Knínice (German: Deutsch Knönitz), is a village and municipality (obec) in Znojmo District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.

It lies in Czech Moravia, approximately 26 kilometres (16 mi) north-east of Znojmo, 33 km (21 mi) south-west of Brno, and 185 km (115 mi) south-east of Prague. The municipality covers an area of 8.63 square kilometres (3.33 sq mi), and has a population of 318 (as at 3 July 2006).
The lords of Knínice Castle in the March of Moravia were first mentioned in a 1262 deed, in 1368 Jaroslav of Knínic (d. about 1382) held the office of a Hofmeister at the court of the Luxembourg margrave John Henry. The village itself was first mentioned in 1349. In 1752 the manor was acquired by the Austrian statesman Count Friedrich Wilhelm von Haugwitz, Lord of Bielitz, who died here in 1765.
Despite its historic name, the village was entirely settled by a Czech-speaking population. Incorporated into neighbouring Miroslav in 1923, Miroslavské Knínice again became a municipality in its own right in 1946.
