Minsk State Linguistic University
Minsk State Linguistic University is a university in Minsk, Belarus. It specializes in 18 foreign languages including English, German, French, Spanish etc.[1] It was founded in 1948 as Minsk Institute for Foreign Languages. Degree programs are taught in Russian, but foreign students can learn Russian in a preparatory program or in a course for foreign students.
Majors
MSLU offers seven academic majors: interpreting and translation, teaching, communication services, public relations, international (political) relations, international (economic) relations, and international tourism. Also the university offers 18 specializations, including world literature, linguistic computing, civilization studies, literary translation, technical translation, simultaneous interpreting, communication technologies in business, graphic design and others.[1]

- Mikhail Khvostov, former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belarus and former Ambassador of Belarus in the United States and Mexico.
- Lyavon Barshchewski, Belarusian philologist and opposition politician.
- Anastasia Vinnikova, Belarussian singer and Belarusian representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
- Jaroslav Romanchuk, Belarussian economist and politician, candidate for president of Belarus in the 2010 elections.
- Oleg Savchenko, famous Belarussian musician and rapper, creator of musical band LSP.
