Culm-internodes scaberulous with leaf-sheaths are scabrous and tubular with one of their length being closed. It eciliate membrane is 1–4 millimetres (0.039–0.157 in) long and is lacerate. Leaf-blades being convolute, and are 11–12 millimetres (0.43–0.47 in) long and 0.7–1 millimetre (0.028–0.039 in) wide. They also have scaberulous surface which is also puberulous and hairy as well. The upper glume is 5.5–6.2 millimetres (0.22–0.24 in) long with pilose surface, while the lower glumes is 5–7 millimetres (0.20–0.28 in) long and is puberulous on the bottom. Palea is elliptic and is 3.5 millimetres (0.14 in) long and have 2 veines with puberulous surface.
