Maria Lenk Trophy

The Maria Lenk Trophy (Portuguese: Troféu Maria Lenk) and Brazil Trophy is a Brazilian swimming tournament contested by teams.[1] It is considered the Brazilian 'Summer Trophy', and is one of main two events of the Brazilian Swimming calendar, together with José Finkel Trophy. Initially the tournament was simply named Brazilian Swimming Trophy. It was rename in 2007 in tribute to Maria Lenk, a former Brazilian swimmer who was the first female South-American Olympic athlete.[2] The first edition was held in 1962. The meet is mostly held in a long course (50 m) pool.
