Madagiz
Madaghis (Azerbaijani: Madagiz; Armenian: Մադաղիս) is a village in the Tartar District of Azerbaijan (de jure), and in the Martakert region of the Republic of Artsakh (de facto). It is located 30 kilometers north-west of the left bank of the river Tartar. There is a secondary school in the village. The village has been the site of the 2016 Nagorno-Karabakh clashes. It has been under Armenian control since April 1994. Madaghis was attacked in April 2016 by Azerbaijan in an unsuccessful attempt at seizure.
