Lykourgos (king)

Lykourgos (/lˈkɜːrɡəs/; Greek: Λυκοῦργος Lykourgos), became Eurypontid joint king of Sparta in 219 BC when the Spartan diarchy was restored, two years after the defeat of Sellasia. Polybius claims that Lykourgos bribed each of the Ephors a talent in order for his claim to be accepted—however Lazenby suggests this is likely to be simply hostile propaganda.[1]

He died in 211/210 BC and was succeeded by his infant son Pelops.[1]

gollark: Er, hold on, let me find some logs.
gollark: <@!156933717628026880> I am fairly sure that I didn't do any nago-ish war declaring.

gollark: Obviously, the number will have to be calculated at runtime, and indices will change dynamically.
gollark: Actually, no: we need to average it based on the number of people supporting each.
