Litter, Pulwama

Litter is a town, notified area and a tehsil of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is located 13 km towards east from District headquarters Pulwama and 40 km from the summer capital of Srinagar. It is situated on the left bank of Rambi River which line Litter Pulwama with Litter Aglar on south and Anantnag on its east.

Litter connects the Shopian district and Pulwama City with the national highway at sangam. Tehsil Litter comprises about 40 villages, including the IGC Lassipora. The main location which attracts people is the shrine of Ziyarat-e-Syed Ahmad Qureshi which was taken by Tourism department and constructed a public park and tourist hut. which enhances the beauty.

Transport

Litter is well traffic connected with Pulwama, Anantnag and Shopian. The nearest railway stations to litter are Panzgam railway station and Bijbehara railway station.

A government higher secondary school, Government boys and girls School and few ssa schools are also in the two. Besides government schools there 4 to 5 private schools located in the area.

A government primary health center, sub centre Aglar and a veterinary is also available in the town.
