List of international cricket centuries by Michael Atherton

Michael Atherton is a former English cricketer, commentator and the former captain of the men's national cricket team where he lead them for 54 Tests.[1] A right-handed opening batsman,[2] during his career he made 18 centuries in international cricket, 16 of which were scored in Tests while the other two came in One Day Internationals (ODIs).

16 of Atherton's 18 centuries came in Tests.

Atherton made his Test debut against Australia on 10th August 1989,[3] and scored his maiden century the following year, when he made 151 against New Zealand at Headingley Stadium, Nottingham.[4] Atherton's highest score is 185* which he made opening in the second-innings against South Africa during the South Africa tour in 1996. In Tests, 13 of his 16 centuries came in the first innings and 3 of his 16 test centuries came in the second innings. In ODIs one came in the first innings and the other whilst chasing.
