List of international cricket centuries by Faf du Plessis

Francois "Faf" du Plessis (more commonly known as Faf du Plessis) is a South African cricketer and current captain of the Proteas in all three formats.[1] A right-handed batsman, he has scored centuries (100 or more runs in a single innings) on 9 occasions in Test, 12 occasions in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and once in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He became the first South African to score centuries in all formats.

He made his Test debut in November 2012 against Australia, scoring 78 in the first innings. In the second innings, du Plessis scored unbeaten 110, making his maiden Test century.[2] His highest Test score came in January 2013 against New Zealand when he scored 137 in Port Elizabeth.[3]

His ODI debut came earlier than his Test debut, in January 2011 against India, where he scored 60 in a losing course.[4] It was over three years later in his 51st ODI that he made his first ODI century, scoring 106 against Australia in Harare.[5] His highest ODI score of 185 runs came on 7 February 2017, against Sri Lanka in Cape Town.[6] During the course of the innings, he set the record for the second highest ODI score after 188 of Gary Kirsten.[7]

Making his first T20I appearance in September 2012, du Plessis scored only 4 runs in the match against England.[8] On 11 January 2015, du Plessis scored his maiden T20I century against the West Indies,[9] becoming the first South African to score centuries in all three formats of the game.[10]

gollark: A significant amount of the political conversations I've seen just have people throwing random "gotchas" at each other.
gollark: Yes, but that's not what people actually do.
gollark: Slightly, but even that's a stretch.
gollark: Not that you would be it if it did do things. But you're even less obligated.
gollark: You're not obligated to since it'll have essentially no effect.
