Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is an Indian right-wing, Hindu nationalist organisation that is widely regarded as the parent organisation of the ruling party of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party.[1][2][3][4] The RSS is one of the principal organizations of the Sangh Parivar group. Founded on Vijaya Dashami day in 1925, it claimed a commitment to selfless service to India.[5] The organisation is the world's largest voluntary organization.[6]
