List of Esteghlal F.C. honours

Esteghlal (Persian: استقلال, meaning independence) is an Iranian professional football club based in Tehran. The club was formed in 1946 as Docharkhe Savaran (Persian: دوچرخه سواران), meaning 'The Cyclists' and played their first competitive match in November 1947, when they played the first week of the 1947–48 Tehran Club Championship. The club was renamed Taj in February 1950 and again Esteghlal in April 1979 as an aftermath of Iranian revolution.

The club has a won a total 35 trophies, including the Iranian Leagues 8 times, Hazfi Cup a record 6 times, Tehran Club Championship a record 14 times, Tehran Hazfi Cup 4 times and Asian Club Championship Iran's record 2 times. Esteghlal is the only Iran club to win an international trophy more than once.

Honours

Esteghlal's first trophy was Tehran Hazfi Cup which they won as Docharkhe Savaran in 1947–48. Their first national senior honour came in 1970 when they won the 1970-71 Local Cup. The club also won the Hazfi Cup for the first time in the 1976–77 season.
