The station is served by commuter Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) trains between San Jose Diridon Station and Stockton. The station is located on rail tracks and a rail yard that is on land that was once a turkey farm.[3] It is three miles (4.8 km) from Lathrop and one and a half miles (2.4 km) from Manteca to the east – a location chosen to draw commuters from both cities.[3] Passengers board trains headed west to job centers in Alameda County where they can transfer to BART to San Francisco and the dominating job hub of the Silicon Valley. The station was studied to be relocated further south as part of the ACEforward project, but this concept was eliminated from consideration.[4]
Modesto Area Express provides commuter service from Modesto on coach buses. There is no local service provided.[5] San Joaquin Regional Transit District buses stops miles away, however Manteca Transit bus lines 1, 2, and 3 stop within half a mile.[6]
