Odirile Vee Sento

Odirile Vee Sento, popularly known as Vee Mampeezy, is a Botswana musician and the leader and songwriter of Lamalanga and Black Money Makers records.[1][2]

Early life

Odirile was born in 1983 in Hukuntsi. He grew up almost entirely in Hukuntsi, Gaborone Botswana.[3] Vee always sought professionalism in his work.[4] Sento pioneered his own brand for water bottles and condoms. He called them Mavitah and Lavitah respectively. Odirile married his long time partner Kagiso De Klerk.

Career

Odirile has been into the music industry for twenty years of success. He won several awards in the music industry. His first album was released under the Black Money Makers studio, and later moved to Eric Ramco records.[5]

“My first album was released under Black Money Makers before I even moved on to Eric Ramco. The company made me who I am and it was always my dream to grow it into something big,” explained the diminutive Kwaito star-turned record label executive.

In 2005, Sento worked with one of the famous producers in South Africa called Godfrey ‘Guffy’ Pilane on an unsuccessful project called Ntja mme, The two separated he returned home to start his own record label called Black Money Makers. 2019 Vee Mampeezy's music video Dumalana (Shot and Directed by Jack Bohloko) became the most viewed music video in Botswana
