History

The lake formed by the dam built by William Walker Scranton in 1898 was called the "Burned Bridge Reservoir", though the public called the lake "Lake Scranton".[4] In the twenty-second episode of season three of The Office (“Beach Games”), Michael Scott calls it is the eighth largest indigenous body of water in America; this is done solely for the show as there is no such classification.
