Route description

KY 223 begins at an intersection with U.S. Route 25E (US 25E; Cumberland Gap Parkway) northwest of Flat Lick, within Knox County. It travels in a fairly northeasterly direction, north of Stinking Creek. It passes Binghamtown Cemetery and enters Dewitt. There, it intersects the northern terminus of KY 2409 (Moore Creek Road) and then curves to the east-southeast. It crosses over Road Fork Creek and immediately intersects the southern terminus of KY 718 (Stinking Creek Road). KY 223 heads to the north-northeast, paralleling the creek, and then curves to the north-northwest. It crosses over the creek twice and then curves back to the north-northeast. The highway crosses over the creek again and curves to a northerly direction. It crosses over Hinkle Branch before it crosses over Road Fork Creek again. It curves to the north-northeast and intersects the southern terminus of KY 2406 (Houston–Broughton Road). It curves to the southeast and travels through Salt Gum. The highway crosses over the Middle Fork Stinking Creek and heads to the south-southeast and then travels through Scalf. It crosses over the creek again and heads in a south-southwest direction. It then meets its northern terminus, a second intersection with KY 718.[1]

gollark: Or "what do we do when an anarchocommune™️ (or whatever?) does bad things".
gollark: But ones like "HOW DO WE HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE ALL THE GOODS AND SERVICES GO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" seem bigger.
gollark: Well, sure.
gollark: The problems I think are problematic are mostly stuff like "intellectual property is somewhat weird and broken", "pricing of some goods (housing, mostly) is weird too", "education frequently doesn't work as well as it should", "there are big technology/surveillance monopolies which are not good", and "government decision-making is pretty poor".
gollark: Blame it for not redirecting to HTTPS like my *cool* website.
