Karol Sevilla

Karol Itzitery Piña Cisneros (born November 9, 1999),[1] known professionally as Karol Sevilla, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, actress and YouTuber.[2] She first became known for playing various roles in the series La rosa de Guadalupe. And later She gained international popularity for played the role of Luna Valente in the Disney Channel Latin America original telenovela, Soy Luna.[3][4]

This article uses Spanish naming customs: the first or paternal family name is Piña and the second or maternal family name is Cisneros.

Life and career

Sevilla was born in Mexico City, and has an older brother named Mauricio and a step brother named Angelo.[1][5] She attended the CEA Infantil from 2006 through 2008. Sevilla began her artistic career in television commercials at the age of six.[6] Since then, she has appeared in numerous television series including: Amorcito corazón, Como dice el dicho, and La rosa de Guadalupe. She has also appeared in musicals, including The Wizard of Oz, Fantabulosa, and Timbiriche.[7] From 2016 to 2018, she played the role of Luna in the series Soy Luna.[3][4]
