Kabardin Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic
Kabardin Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (Kabardin ASSR), (Russian: Кабардинская Автономная Советская Социалистическая республика) was the name given to Kabardino-Balkarian ASSR after deportation of the Balkars in 1944. In 1957, the old name was restored.
