KYZQ typically broadcasts a southern gospel format to the Mount Pleasant, Texas area, however, the station was taken silent by the Licensee on February 2, 2020. As stated in the filing submitted to the FCC, "LICENSEE HAS TURNED KYZQ OFF THE AIR BECAUSE IT CANNOT ACQUIRE ENOUGH DONATIONS TO KEEP THE STATION ON THE AIR. LICENSEE IS IN THE PROCESS OF SELLING THE STATION TO ANOTHER NCE ENTITY."

KYZQ must return to the air no later than February 2, 2021 at 11:59pm CDT, or the license will be revoked by Federal law for remaining off air for more than one calendar year
