John Madejski Academy (formerly Thamesbridge College) is an academy in Reading, Berkshire, England. It specialises in sport and has a capacity about 700 students aged 11–18.[1]

History
The school was formerly named Thamesbridge college, and before that it was named Ashmead. Alumni includes Ricky Gervais and Iain Waite. The new buildings were opened in 2010, with Sir John Madejski cutting the ribbon.
Architecture
The building was designed by international architecture firm Wilkinson Eyre[2] and it was shortlisted for an award at the World Architecture Festival 2008.[3]
