John Conkey
John A. Conkey was the president of the Boston Red Stockings of the National League in 1872. Conkey was one of the founders of the Boston baseball club and succeeded Ivers Whitney Adams as club president after the team's first season due to Adams' business conflicts. Conkey was succeeded as team president by Charles Porter in 1873.[1]
