Jihane Almira Chedid

Jihane Almira Chedid (Arabic: جيهان الميرا حديد‎, [jihˈan almyˈrah c'hed'did] born February 4, 2000) is an Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Ambassador,[10][11][12] actress, fashion model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020.[13][14] She is Known for her work in advocating for #ActYourThoughts orphanage programs.[15] Chedid is the first delegate from Central Java to ever be crowned Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata.[16][17][18] She will represent Indonesia at the Miss Supranational 2020 pageant, to be held on December 2020 at Poland.[19][20]

Early life

Chedid was born in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia to a Lebanese father and Javanese mother.[21] Her passion in the entertainment industry started when she was 11 years old, by working as an actress and fashion model.[22][23] She attended high school at Singapore Intercultural School, Bona Vista.[1] She holds a bachelor degree in Science in Information Technology from PGRI Semarang University[2][3] and now continuing her study in Graphic Design at the Bina Nusantara University – Jakarta.[4][5] Beside chosen as Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Ambassador,[10][11][12] she often representing Indonesia in the world fashion model competition, such as Guess Girl Search South East Asia 2015 where she placed in Top 15, together with Puteri Indonesia 2017 alumni, Bunga Jelitha as the winner.[22][4] and Top 10 Nylon Magazine Face Off 2016.[24][25][5]

Puteri Indonesia Central Java 2020

Chedid joined the contest at the provincial level of the Puteri Indonesia Central Java 2020, and ended up was chosen as the winner of Puteri Indonesia Central Java 2020,[26] where she also won "Miss Congeniality" special award.[27][28]

Puteri Indonesia 2020

After qualifying the provincial title of Puteri Indonesia Central Java 2020, Chedid represented the province of Central Java in the national beauty contest, Puteri Indonesia 2020, which was held on March 6, 2020.[16][29] She was successfully selected as the winner of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020[30][31][32] and won "Best Evening Gown" and "1st Runner-up Miss Talent" special awards.[33] The final coronation night was graced by the reigning Miss Supranational 2019, Anntonia Porsild and Miss Supranational 2017, Jenny Kim as the guest star.[34][35]

Miss Supranational 2020

As the winner of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020, Chedid will represent Indonesia at the 12th edition of Miss Supranational 2020 pageant, to be held on December 2020 at Poland.[36][37] By the end of the event, Miss Supranational 2019 Anntonia Porsild of Thailand will crown her successor.[38]
