Jeleniewo
Jeleniewo [jɛlɛˈɲɛvɔ] is a village in Suwałki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.[1] It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Jeleniewo. It lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) north of Suwałki and 122 km (76 mi) north of the regional capital Białystok.

The village has a population of 490 persons.
History
Jeleniewo – at present the communal village, laid in you will tell suwalskim, on the rout Suwałki - The Rutka-sawmill. She came into being about 1770 . After 10 the years of the existence she was transformed in the city thanks to the reformist activity on these terrains Antoniego Tyzenhausa, then the administrator of royal economies on Lithuania. The considerable development Suwałk just caused impoverishment of Jeleniewa and importing him to the function of the village. In years 1815-1829 the post track led from Warsaw to Petersburga by Jeleniewo.
