Jaranwala-Lyallpur Branch Line

Jaranwala-Lyallpur Branch Line (in Urdu جڑانوالہ-لائلپور ریلوے لائن ) was the one railway branch line constructed in 1926 from Jaranwala railway station to Lyallpur Faisalabad railway station 22 miles (35 km) [1] This Branch line was uprooted in 1940 due to steel shortage in World War II[2]

Construction

As per United States Department of commerce BUREAU OF FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC COMMERCE COMMERCE REPORTS Nos. 1–13 VOLUME 1 THIRTIETH YEAR January, February, March 1927 Director Julius Klein page number 687 construction of Construction Program of the Northwestern Railway Lyallpur-Jaranwala line 22 km is planned.
