History
Ro-63 was laid down on 2 April 1923 at the Kobe Shipyard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and launched on 24 January 1924.[1] She was renumbered RO-63 on 1 November 1924.[1] On 20 December 1924, she was completed and attached to the Maizuru Naval District and assigned to Submarine Division 33.[1][2]
