Jane Parker-Smith

Jane Caroline Rebecca Parker-Smith (20 May 1950 – 24 June 2020) was a British classical organist.[2][3][4][5]

Jane Caroline Rebecca Smith was born in Northampton and educated at Barton Peveril Grammar School in Eastleigh, Hampshire. She took the name Parker-Smith while a teenager. She married John Gadney (died 2012) in 2006.[5]

Parker-Smith studied at the Royal College of Music between 1967 and 1971 before going on to study with Jean Langlais.[1] She performed at the BBC Proms in 1972.[6]

Parker-Smith died in London on 24 June 2020, aged 70.[3][2]
