Jaco Londt
Johan Jaco Londt (born 27 November 1984) is a South African politician who serves as a delegate of the upper house of parliament, the National Council of Provinces. He has held the office since May 2019 and previously held it from May 2014 until September 2018. He is a member of the Western Cape provincial delegation. Between September 2018 and May 2019, he was a member of the lower house, the National Assembly. Londt is a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the party's chairperson in the east region of the Western Cape.

Early life
Londt was born on 27 November 1984 in George in the former Cape Province.
Political career
He joined the Democratic Alliance and was elected to parliament following the 2014 general election. He was appointed one of the DA's representatives in the NCOP and took office on 22 May.[1][2] He was elected the DA's chairperson in the east region of the Western Cape in 2015.[3] Londt was re-elected to a second term as chair in 2017.[4] On 7 September 2018, Londt was appointed to the National Assembly. He only served in the chamber for eight months before being appointed back to the NCOP after the 2019 general election.[5] He took office on 23 May.
Personal life
Londt is engaged to Zimbabwean expatriate Dorcas Dube.[6] Their wedding was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.[7] He was previously married to Lize Londt.[2]
