Irmohizam Ibrahim

Dato' Irmohizam bin Ibrahim is a Malaysian politician. Irmohizam was a Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for Kuala Selangor constituency in Selangor, Malaysia for one term from 2013 to 2018. He is a member of the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.

Irmohizam was a political officer for Najib Razak, the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia. He is the president of Selangor Youth Council and a fellow in the Malay Study Faculty of Universiti Teknologi MARA.[1]

Ibrahim is also the information chief for the Peninsular Malay Student Association (Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung) GPMS.[2]

In the 2013 general election, Irmohizam won the Kuala Selangor Parliamentary Seat, narrowly defeating the popular Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad of Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) by less than 500 votes.[3] But in the 2018 general election, he lost the seat also to Dzulkefly Ahmad but from National Trust Party (AMANAH) this time.

Personal life

Irmohizam married Sushilayanti Sumadi daughter of Datuk Sumadi Ismail on 8 August 2008.[4] He has two children, Irisya Sofea and Inarah Syazara.[5]

IM4U Exco

Irmohizam is one of the core executives for the IM4U (1Malaysia for Youth) movement, an idea of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to enhance volunteerism and patriotism among Malaysian youth.[6] Irmohizam is a cofounder of the My Beautiful Malaysia Day, which is a celebration of Malaysian youth volunteerism.[7]
