History

Seven former Samsung executives created the company in 1999 and made its IPO on the KOSDAQ, a Korean stock exchange, in 2003. Duk-Jun Yang, one of the founders, became the CEO of the company.

ReignCom announced in May 2006 that it would adjust its focus toward handheld mobile gaming. It has reported sluggish sales for its music player business, including a loss of 35.58 billion (US$36.68 million) in 2005, compared with a net profit of 43.46 billion in 2004.

In 2009, ReignCom was renamed as Iriver.[4]

Entry into music

On January 31, 2018, Iriver announced its entry into the Korean music industry. Together with parent SK Telecom and music labels SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and Big Hit Entertainment, the company launched a new online music store called FLO[5] in the second half of 2018.[1]

On March 28, 2019 Iriver announced that they would renamed to Dreamus Company.[6]

Distributed labels

As of August 2019:

gollark: You can use intrinsics for SIMD stuff in it.
gollark: I'd probably use Rust or something.
gollark: For most things, even.
gollark: Interrupt handlers are basically an assembly-level implementation detail for this sort of thing.
gollark: My stuff like SPUDNET isn't written using object oriented programming and is *way* easier to implement in JS with express and stuff than it would be with assembly and... something?
