There are several ethnic groups in Hyderi including Muhajirs, Sindhis, Punjabis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras and Ismailis. The population of North Nazimabad Town is estimated to be nearly one million.

North Nazimabad Town with a population of one million has enabled Hyderi to becoming a thriving market housing all major banks, automobile showrooms, marriage halls and a successful shopping district.
