Synopsis

Hungry Ghosts is a chilling, character driven ghost story that explores the lives of three generations of Vietnamese Australian families, all haunted by the traumatic events of war.[2] The series begins on the eve of the Hungry Ghost Festival in Melbourne when a powerful amulet is broken and a vengeful spirit Quang is unleashed, wreaking havoc across the community. May Le is an aspiring chef who begins to understand that she has the power to control the evil spirits.[3] Her best friend is Roxy, a trans woman and gifted clairvoyant.[3] Stella Le is May's estranged mother.[4] Ben Williams is a first-year doctor who encounters May.[3]

Sophie Tran is a bio med student who is possessed by evil spirits. She is the daughter of refugees, Sang and Diane Tran[5] and her older sister is Tracy Tran.

[4] Daniel Nguyen is a third-generation Vietnamese Australian with identity struggles.[4] Paul Nguyen is struggling to forget the past when his parents, Lien Nguyen and Anh Nguyen are forced to move in with Paul and his family. As they all try to settle in, painful memories are brought up and an old hidden flame returns.

Neil Stockton is a photographer famous for his collection of Vietnam War photographs, who has a daughter Liz.[3]

gollark: I can't really speak for total up/down, but it's on awful UK home internet so no more than 36Mbps down bandwidth and 8 up.
gollark: Well, if I/someone does start a new one, we'll use the newest versions, sure.
gollark: I would call it "overall positive".
gollark: If you can download the pack zip from somewhere, you can import it into MultiMC. Which pack are you trying to use?
