Herisau railway station

Herisau railway station (German: Bahnhof Herisau) is a railway station in Herisau, in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. It is an intermediate station on the 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 12 in) standard gauge Bodensee–Toggenburg railway and 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 38 in) metre gauge Gossau–Wasserauen railway. It served by local and long-distance trains.

  • S2: hourly service over the Bodensee–Toggenburg railway between Nesslau-Neu St. Johann and Altstätten SG.
  • S4: hourly service over the Bodensee–Toggenburg railway via Sargans (circular operation).
  • S23: half-hourly service over the Gossau–Wasserauen railway between Gossau SG and Wasserauen.
  • S81: hourly service over the Bodensee–Toggenburg railway to St. Gallen.
  • RE: hourly service over the Bodensee–Toggenburg railway to Konstanz.
