Holund was junior world champion in the 10 km classic in 2008, and debuted in the cross-country skiing world cup in Lahti on 8 March 2009.[1]

In the Norwegian national cross-country ski championships in 2016 Holund was on the Lyn team that won the 3 × 10 km relay. Jonas Udjus Frorud and Simen Hegstad Krüger were the other two members of the relay team.[2]
