Forest District (Sydney)

The Forest District (or simply the Forest) is an area in Northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. These suburbs are located within the local government area of Northern Beaches Council in Sydney's Northern Beaches region.

The Forest District is a descriptive name for the area which is located amongst the bushland of Kuring-gai Chase National Park and Garigal National Park, east of Middle Harbour. The regional designation is largely unofficial with suburbs and localities that are considered to be in the "Forest District" being somewhat amorphous and varies accordingly.

Transport

The Forest District is served mostly by Forest Coachlines, as part of the Region 14 Contract. This could also be a considered a way to define the region. State Transit Northern Beaches run some services.
