History

Flying Wild Hog was established in 2009. The studio worked on their own Road Hog Engine, a video game engine, which resulted in their first title Hard Reset released in September 2011.[2][3][4] In April 2012, Flying Wild Hog has released Hard Reset: Exile,[5][6][7] a free DLC for Hard Reset. In September 2013, they released Shadow Warrior, which was published by Devolver Digital, with the sequel, Shadow Warrior 2 having been announced in 2015 for a 2016 release.[8][9] On 7 December 2015, Flying Wild Hog opened a new division in Kraków, led by Michał Kuk.[10]

Flying Wild Hog was acquired in March 2019 by Supernova Capital, an investment firm started by the former CEO of Splash Damage, Paul Wedgwood, and other members from Splash Damage. The acquisition provides financial security for Flying Wild Hog to focus more on its game development.[11] As of November 2019, Flying Wild Hog is working on three unannounced video games.[12]

In July 2020, Shadow Warrior 3 was announced for a 2021 release.[13]

gollark: There are projects you could do which might *actually* be useful and not too hard to do, and you should consider those instead of trying to blindly ape Windows and stuff for the 129712815261th CC OS.
gollark: <@630513495003103242> Useful "OS"es are hard to develop because they involve somewhat fiddly programming stuff generally, like, well, screen sharing, networking, that sort of thing. If you don't have a decent knowledge base making a useful OS is going to be hard, and OSes, being complex, are not a good way to learn.
gollark: How come PotatOS now works in CCEmuX but loops infinitely in Copy Cat?
gollark: Hmm, looks like potatOS is now just stuck in an infinite restart loop.
gollark: Autodowndating?
