Felipe Micheletti

Felipe Stievano Micheletti (born May 24, 1990) is a Brazilian professional kickboxer who fights in the light-heavyweight division of GLORY. Before signing with the promotion, he also competed in Kunlun Fight and SUPERKOMBAT.

Biography

Born in Sorocaba, Brazil, Micheletti began formal kickboxing training at the age of 16. He made his fight debut within six months, losing his first two fights but coming back to win his third.

Kickboxing

Amateur career

Micheletti participated in 37 amateur fights with 30 wins, including 15 wins by knockout. In 2009, he became Brazilian champion[2] through the Brazilian Confederation of Kickboxing in the K-1 style, super-heavy category. He has also been a Septa Brazilian champion and the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) Pan American kickboxing champion, World Champion, and two-time Vice-World Champion.

Professional career

Micheletti debuted in November 2009 as a professional against Edson Lima at KO Fight in Apucarana, and soon afterwards was invited to fight Cleber Rodrigues. He went on to fight Alex Pereira, Saulo Cavalari, Toni Milanovic, Vladimir Mineev, Wallyson Maguila and Guto Inocente.

Micheletti currently holds three championship belts: the PRO Kicks Heavyweight Kickboxing Brazilian belt,[3] the WGP heavyweight belt,[4] and the World Kickboxing Network (WKN) world champion belt.[5]

Mixed martial arts

Micheletti has announced plans to migrate to mixed martial arts (MMA), with an intent to make his debut in 2017. He has been involved in the training of several Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) athletes, including Fábio Maldonado, Mauricio Rua, and Francimar Barroso.
