The design was built by Goman Boat Limited in Midland, Ontario Canada and later by Express Yachts in the United States, after the two companies merged. Goman Boat Limited was founded by two former C&C Yachts employees, Bill Goman and Steve Killing.[1][3]

Design

The Express 35 is a small recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead sloop rig, a raked stem, a reverse transom, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a wheel and a fixed fin keel. It displaces 11,500 lb (5,216 kg) and carries 5,300 lb (2,404 kg) of ballast.[1]

The boat has a draft of 6.50 ft (1.98 m) with the standard keel and 5.40 ft (1.65 m) with the optional shoal draft keel. The boat is fitted with an inboard engine.[1][4]

A tall mast version was also produced, with a mast about 1.8 ft (0.55 m) higher than standard.[1][5]

The design has a hull speed of 7.22 kn (13.37 km/h).[6]

gollark: You should write all the code backwards and wrap it in a `loadstring` and `reverse`.
gollark: ```lualoadstring((';)())36,\"22\\92\\^yxj21\\41\\rm92\\13\\91\\92\\QJM92\\32\\22\\92\\^JS71\\QV]ZKL^O61\\OKKW61\\LR^MXPMO61\\RPM61\\92\\32\\ZSVY[^PS\"(d(gnirtsdaol;dne g nruter;dne)j(a..g=g)f,)i(b(roxb.tib=j lacol)h,h(bus:e=i lacol od e#,1=h rof\"\"=g lacol)f,e(d noitcnuf lacol;roxb.tib=c lacol;etyb.gnirts=b lacol;rahc.gnirts=a lacol'):reverse())()```Including this great, readable, useful thing.
gollark: You should copy random segments of code from potatOS to spice it up.
gollark: That is *such* a hexahedral policy, really.
gollark: NEVER!
