Evan Williams (actor)

Evan Martin Williams[1] is a Canadian actor and musician. He is known for his roles on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Awkward and Versailles.

Early life

Williams was born in Swan Hills, Alberta,[2] but raised in Calgary, Alberta.[2] He is a graduate of Henry Wise Wood Senior High School,[2] and studied theatre at Ryerson University.[2]

Career

Williams first major role was Kelly Ashoona in Degrassi: The Next Generation.[2] His other notable television roles are Baxter McNab in Baxter,[2] Luke in Awkward[3] and Chevalier de Lorraine in Versailles,[4][5] a role that gained him a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Series.[6]

Charity

Williams has worked with the charity buildOn to help build schools in impoverished areas.[2][5]
