Dumitru Macri

Dumitru Macri (born 28 April 1931) is a Romanian former football player and manager.[4]

Playing career

Born in Bucharest, Macri played club football for Rapid București.[2] He was the club's captain between 1952 and 1966.[5]

He also earned 8 caps for the Romanian national team between 1958 and 1962, making his debut in a friendly which ended with a 2–1 against Hungary.[2][6] He also played two games for the Euro 1960 and 1964 qualifiers.[6] He also appeared twice for Romania's Olympic team at the 1960 Summer Olympics qualifiers.[6][3]

Coaching career

Macri managed the Algerian national team.[7]

Later life

He left Romania in 1986, moving to France with his son, an architect.[5]
