Gameplay

This game's gameplay is similar to that of other DonPachi games; however, there are different bosses.

Development

DoDonPachi II supports Japanese, Chinese, English and Korean. The interface language depends on the protection chip inside the game cartridge, which provides region information. In addition, the game's title, stage names and boss names are also altered depending on the region.

Music

A soundtrack for the first 2 DoDonPachi games was released by Scitron Digital Content.

Reception

In Japan, Game Machine listed DoDonPachi II on their August 1, 2001 issue as being the eighth most-successful arcade game of the year.[1]

gollark: ... yes, I know the preprocessor isn't designed for that, this is part of why I dislike it?
gollark: So you can write macros which... actually do moderately complex syntax things?
gollark: It doesn't give you an actual parse tree.
gollark: The preprocessor is literally just token substitution, and not even consistent with the actual C tokenizer!
gollark: Macros and such. Nim uses them a lot. It also has templates, which are quite a useful cut-down version which is good enough a lot of the time.
