Releases

Diamond was originally released on vinyl (CDL 1353) and cassette (ZCDL 1353) in the UK in 1982, and a limited edition 4x12" box version of the album (CBOX 1353) soon followed the same year. Most of the tracks included in the box set were extended versions of the album tracks (with "Pharaoh", "Innocence and Science" and "Missionary" only being slightly edited). A colour poster and lyric sheet were also included in the box. Only two of the tracks were issued on a single; these were the extended versions of "She Loved Like Diamond," which is identical to the UK 12" A-side, and the 8 minute "Chant No. 1 (re-mix)," which was later included as a B-side to the UK 12" of "Instinction." The rest of the remixed cuts were unique mixes to be found only in this box, though in 2002 the tracks "Instinction" and "Coffee Club" were included in the "Reformation" 3xCD box and in 2010 all the mixes appeared on Disc 1 of the 2 CD Special Edition of Diamond.
